Hyatt Regency Orange County: Anaheim Disneyland 'Good Neighbor' Hotel Guide

The Hyatt Regency Orange County hotel is located at 11999 Harbor Blvd. in Anaheim, Calif., just a mile from Disneyland. This Southern California high-rise hotel property is a great choice for all types of travelers, and won't break the bank or the expense account.

Despite reasonable rates, there is a certain level of luxury at the Hyatt, and it isn't hard to find. Find out why Disneyland lists the Hyatt Regency Orange County as one of their top 'Good Neighbor' hotels right here, and why we agree! To check out current specials, visit the Hyatt's web site here and click 'Rooms & Rates'.

Hyatt Regency Orange County: Anaheim Disneyland Hotel

From relaxing get-aways and business travel, to fun-filled Disney vacations, the Hyatt Regency Orange County can accommodate everyone. The hotel recently underwent a $25 million-dollar upgrade and rehabilitation to the property, and it shows. The guest rooms are appointed in subtle, muted earth tones and boast a comfortable, contemporary feel.

Rooms at the Hyatt Regency Orange County feature comfortable beds, multiple pillows of varying size for comfort (we thought that was a very nice touch!), flat-screen televisions with basic cable, fully-decked out bathrooms with granite counters, and more.

Hyatt Regency Orange County: Property Features, Free Disney Shuttle and Dining Deals

Some of the very best features of the Hyatt Regency Orange County won't be found inside the guest rooms, though. The Anaheim Disneyland Hyatt features two very relaxing, well-maintained pools and spas, as well as lovely grounds. The large, open valet area out front features a gorgeous waved pattern in the driveway, a small grassy area with trees and a fountain. Here, guests can drop off their vehicles or pick up the free shuttle to Disneyland. Yes, we said free! This is by far one of the best features of this hotel: convenience, and it doesn't come at a price!

The free Disneyland shuttle runs daily during park hours, with twice hourly pick-up to and from Disneyland. More great freebies to take advantage of at the Hyatt Regency Orange County are the "Kids Eat Free With Adults" deal and the free buffet with some room reservations. This buffet is really a gem of a free hotel breakfast, which can too often be rather limp and insulting.

The breakfast buffet at Hyatt's Tusca bistro offers an abundance of cereals, nuts, fruits and breads. You can find rolls, danish and bagels; there are pancakes, sausage and bacon, and more. Want eggs? The scrambled eggs are fluffy and always piping hot, or you can watch the chef prepare you an omelet of your choice from scratch. There is so much to choose from, and it all tastes fresh and delicious.

Regular price for this buffet is around $18; when you're staying three, four or more days, that kind of money really adds up! So do the savings when it's all free, every morning. This is especially true when headed to Disneyland; fill up on a healthy, free breakfast, and even grab an apple for the road!

Hyatt Regency Orange County: Service and Overall Impression

The staff at the Hyatt Regency Orange County are willing and eager to assist their guests however they can. Whether you need linens changed, in-room assistance, transportation arranged, directions printed out, restaurant recommendations or excursions booked, the Hyatt housekeeping and concierge staff are ready to help. The staff at Tusca and the hotel's other restaurant, the OC Brewhouse, also go above and beyond in their quest to provide guest service worth mentioning.

Overall, the Hyatt Regency has a welcoming feel, perfect for out-of-town travelers looking for comfort after busy days spent exploring Southern California attractions for pleasure, or traversing the concrete jungle for business. The level of hospitality and attention to detail by staff, the hotel's sharp aesthetic appeal, and the ease of enjoyment offered at the Hyatt Regency Orange County make it a property worth visiting again and again.
