America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreation Land Pass - Senior Pass costs a mere $10. The pass is good for a lifetime and allows you access to Federal recreation sites that charge entrance fees. You must be 62 or older or have a permanent disability to get this lifetime pass. With your pass others get in free, too! The vehicle in which you ride, plus the passengers, will be admitted for free. The stipulation, though, is that there must not be more than four people in the vehicle. If there are more than that fees will be charged for any amount of persons over 4. The only way to receive the pass is to present yourself, in person, at the park you want to visit.
Other fees which might be charged by that park, including camping, swimming or boat-launching will be given to the pass holder at a fifty percent savings. But, this amenity discount is only given to the pass holder and not the others who arrived in the same vehicle. The pass is non-transferable and does not cover special fees such as visiting a concession stand within the park.
America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass - Access Pass is granted free for U.S. citizens who are permanently disabled. You will need documentation to receive this lifetime pass. Documentation accepted includes a statement from a licensed physician, documentation from a federal agency, like the Veteran's Administration, or from a state agency such as the Vocational Rehabilitation Program.
