In fact we bought day passes for our visit there, so my experience with CoCo Key Water Resort is based solely upon the water park and not on the hotel. Day Passes generally cost $15 each but on the website if you sign up to receive the water park's newsletter by email they will email you a coupon to receive $5 off of day passes for first time guests. By doing this we received day passes for just $10 each. They also offer discounted tickets to military families on Sundays for just $7.50 each, and on Sundays grandparents (ages fifty-five and older) are admitted free of charge. If you do not wish to stay for the day and only have few hours to play you might also want to consider purchasing a Twilight pass for $8 which grants admission to the water park on selected weekdays from 4 PM to 9 PM. Annual passes to the water park are also available at a cost of $69.95 with only New Years Eve and New Years Day being blacked out.
Purchasing tickets online was very simple, and I was able to print them out with no problems. Once we got to the water park there was a specific line for e-tickets where we were able to exchange our e-tickets for water park passes. Checking in was simple and fast.
There are large locker rooms for both men and women and a small one stall family restroom for changing from street clothes to your swimsuit. Lockers are also available for rent for the day to stash all your stuff in for just $6 and can also be purchased when purchasing tickets online.
The water park itself is nice, and offers plenty of chairs and tables for sitting. The water park offers an area for little swimmers with a zero entry depth pool, small slides, and sprayers. For children who are a little bit bigger there is Parrot's Perch a four story interactive play area with plenty of water cannons, slides, and a huge bucket of water that dumps water out every few minutes. For the bigger guests there are four forty-foot tall body and raft slides, a lazy river, an indoor/outdoor spa, and an activity pool that offers basketball goals.
Inside the water park there is a bar that serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as typical snack bar food like pretzels, popcorn, and other snacks at typical snack bar prices. In addition to the bar there is a A&W Rootbeer and Pizza Hut, these are extremely high in price.
One of the things I did not like about the water park but I understand why they did it is the fact that you must walk through the arcade when entering and leaving the hotel. We typically don't do arcades and this makes it hard for us to tell our kids no, which is what they have in mind. Other indoor water parks that we have been to also have arcades that are located next to the water park but you do not have to walk through them to enter and exit the hotel.
Another thing to keep in mind when visiting CoCo Key Water Resort is that they do not offer towels to day pass holders so you will need to bring your own if you are not staying at the hotel.
