You're going to have to get the tourist stuff out of the way so head straight to The Berlin Wall. Your high school English teacher will be proud of you. There's no Checkpoint charlie anymore, thankfully, but this is still an important place to visit. Go on a weekday if you can swing it when it will be less crowded.

Massai Restaurant
If you're going to have a good time in Berlin you will need to eat. Most German food, desserts aside, were largely inedible for me. Enter the Massai, an Eritrean restaurant. Here's where you go to explore and expand your palate. The impeccable customer service will make you less reticent to try exciting new game such as ostrich soup, gazelle meat, crocodile fillet or zebra steak. Uh-huh.

Club Cassiopeia
You've experienced history, culture and Afro-German eats. What's next? You've got to get your party on, of course. You and your girlfriends can party hip hop Berlin-style at Club Cassiopeia. Yes, hip hop is huge in Germany. You'll want to start your night here and then make your way around town. Germany is known for its nightlife. Other party palaces in Berlin include Shrine, Calabash and Bohannon.

Kurfürstendamm Shopping
Shopping is a key part of any foreign vacation. Kurfürstendamm is where you go for the finest shopping in all of Berlin. Feeling a little low in the pockets? Don't despair. There are bargains to be had. Look for the street vendors and play it smart.
Enjoy your Berlin vacation. Take lots of pictures but keep the most scandalous adventures between girlfriends. What happens in Berlin stays in Berlin. Wink-wink.
