Big Bend Community College

If you are looking for a small jumping off point near Moses Lake, Washington, then Big Bend Community College is the school for you. This institution grants one-year certificates and associate's degrees. It is also a great place to get your general education requirements out of the way if you plan on moving on to a larger, four-year institution later on in your academic career. It also has several programs for those continuing their education later in life.

Walla Walla College

This is a private, not-for-profit, four-year institution located in College Place, Washington, just to the southwest of Walla Walla proper. Columbia Basin College

Columbia Basin College is a two-year public institution located in Pasco, Washington, about an hour Northeast of Walla Walla. It offers a variety of certificates and associate's degrees. This school states it is much more affordable than the average regional or state university. Students often attend CBC for two years to earn credits that are transferable to a larger state school in order to save money. The student to professor ratio is 24:1.

Whitman College

Whitman College is located in Walla Walla. It is a private school that offers four-year bachelor's degrees and boasts more than 42 majors. The student-to-faculty ratio is roughly 10:1. One of Whitman College's more unique attributes is its "Semester in the West" program that takes students over 12,000 miles across the American West in a semester to teach undergraduate students about the history, culture, and ecology.
