Bosphorus: Authentic Turkish Food in Orlando

The first time we went to Orlando we were fortunate to find the Bosphorus restaurant a place were you can get authentic Turkish food. With all the food choices available in Orlando Florida it is certainly good to find a place like Bosphorus where you can find great and authentic Turkish food.

We live in Miami but each year, for the past 4 years, we get to go to Orlando 3 to 4 times because our kids or our family kids want to go to Disney and enjoy all their attractions. Every time since that first time, we make room on our "busy" schedules to have dinner at Bosphorus.

The Turkish restaurant Bosphorus is located on 108 S Park Ave (between E. Morse Blvd and E. New England Avenue) in Winter Park, Orlando. There is plenty of parking in their own lot. The Bosphorus restaurant has a great atmosphere, elegant but simple. Low lighting and great oriental rugs characterize the restaurant. Try to dress a little bit better than the regular clothes you use when going To Orlando

One thing we like each time we visit Bosphorus is the service. I think that Bosphorus service is excellent.

You can get an excellent Babaganoush appetizer at Bosphorus. Try it! It is really good and freshly prepared. (for those of you who do not know, Babaganoush is smashed eggplant with spices served on a flaky pita bread)

After this great appetizer, you will not go wrong with the Iskender Kebab (made of lamb meat). Also you can have the Iskender Kebab too. We like it a lot. Taste and freshness were evident. Food usually comes with sides of rice, onions, red cabbage, and carrots or try any of these meals with bulgur on the side (bulgur is a special type of wheat grown in Turkey). Kids prefer chicken so you can get the Chicken Adana for them (or for yourself!). If you like spicy food they have the Beyti Kebab.

Prices at Bosphorus seem to be a little on the higher side. Usually we had to pay about $30-35 per person (sometimes higher). We do not mind since food is great there at Bosphorus as it is service, but be prepared to pay some top dollar for this kind of Turkish food.

For dessert you can get a very good baklava with Turkish coffee. Usually Turkish coffee is a very nice addition to your Turkish meal an this is completely true at Bosphorus.

Bosphorus is one of the best Turkish restaurants I have eaten in. I will certainly recommend Bosphorus to anyone going to Orlando Florida. We plan to go back to Bosphorus any time we go to Orlando.
