Located on 9th Avenue between W. 35th & W. 36th Street, is a set of glass doors that you look into and will always see a restaurant full of people standing and sitting at the tables. I am not surprised because the staff is friendly and very professional. It seems like they put you first and serve you accordingly. The service is fast and the area is clean and set up in a very nice way.
I really loved the lighting in there. It was dim and cozy. Aura Thai Fusion Cuisine serves as a great spot for a date, group or family. And the staff is welcoming. They greet you with a smile and speak to you respectably. And continue to comeback to your table asking you if you need anything. I like that factor because it is good to know that I can go to a place that is for the people.
I like the location. It is away from all the shopping stores and in an area that is not so crowded but near. It is 2 blocks away from the Jacob Javits Center, Around the corner and up the block from Madison Square Garden and 1 block away from the A train. And they have a happy hour from 4 to 7 every night where they serve top shelf liquor for all the drinks your body can take.
The menu has a variety of succulent selections from which you can choose. Some are spicy. Some are mild. I was particularly pleased with the lunch special because my favorite Thai dish, Pad Thai, is on it for $7.95 and you can't beat that price for a dish that is so good. From the hours of 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM, you can order any of the 17 selections featured on the lunch special and pay a cost of just $7.95. Considering the prices that you can pay in Manhattan sometimes for food, that is a great deal.
They serve all kinds of meats including beef, chicken, duck or pork. They also sell fish & shrimps, vegetable or tofu. They really cater to everybody whether you are a meat eater, a light eater or a vegetarian. The menu also features 19 appetizers, soups, salads, noodles, rice, curry dishes, wok & grill, side dishes, desserts and a few drinks. I particularly liked the homemade iced tea they make which was refreshing and delicious. They also serve brown rice for people who alike to eat it healthy. I like to put a little peanut sauce on mine and it tastes good. And I like the fact that you can either sit down to eat, take it and go or call it in because they deliver.
So if you are ever in the neighborhood, try Aura Thai Fusion Cuisine For Yourself. The restaurant is located at 462 Ninth Avenue between West 35th and West 36th Street. They are open 7 days a week and yes, they do accept credit cards and have party catering available. The food is as good as the aroma that you get from walking in the door and the prices are reasonable. Oh what a great lunch you will have when you visit. And it is fresh; Pure delight for a hungry stomach.
