A Customer Review of the Arrowhead RV Park on the River in Cascade, Idaho

This is a customer review of the Arrowhead RV Park on the River, located at 955 South Highway 55 in Cascade, Idaho. The Arrowhead RV Park on the River is a large RV park, which also allows tent camping. In addition, the Arrowhead RV Park on the River in Cascade has cabins and yurts for rent.

My family and I camped at the Arrowhead RV Park on the River in late June of 2008. We had made reservations one week prior for one night of tent camping. When I had called the park to make the reservations, I got the impression that it might be the tiniest bit disorganized so I was a bit concerned about what the environment would be like when we arrived. The staff was extremely nice on the phone, though, so the hint of disorganization didn't prove to be a deterrent.

The Arrowhead RV Park on the River is very easy to find, as it is located directly off of Highway 55 in Cascade, Idaho. If you are traveling South on Highway 55, you will turn right into the park. If you are traveling North you will turn left into the park. It's as simple as that, and there is adequate signage to ensure that you don't miss the turn.

As we pulled up to the park office, we noticed that the Arrowhead RV Park on the River is full of trees and grassy areas. We also noticed right away that there are many colorful handmade totem poles around the park. The office staff was again extremely nice during our check in, and a man on a golf cart drove in front of us to show us the way to our campsite. A few times during our afternoon there, the same man, as well as a female staff member came to check on us, say hello, bring us some firewood and tell us where to find more, and even to remind us that there was ice cream in the camp store.

Our campsite was grassy, with a picnic table and fire ring. We were very close to a set of restrooms as well. The restrooms as Arrowhead RV Park on the River are kept very clean. Arrowhead RV Park also has showers, which are kept very clean as well.

Many campers at Arrowhead RV in Cascade are those in RV's who stay for extended periods of time. For individuals who are staying a month or more, the park has a large woodshop where guests can help make more totem poles.

At one point, we went into the camp store to buy some water. The items in the camp store were much lower priced than we expected, and they even had some fun items for sale, like sunglasses for the kids.

The Arrowhead RV Park also has a river running through it, making swimming and fishing or just playing along the banks easy activities. My son loved playing with the crawdads on the river bank.

There are different sized cabins for rent, all along the edge of the river. Each cabin had a small table with chairs and barbecue in back. There are also yurts for rent, which looked fun as well. The park has a nature path with a little bridge and a giant ant hill that was pretty interesting.

All in all, I would definitely recommend the Arrowhead RV Park on the River in Cascade, Idaho to others. The camping spaces were a little bit close together, and some guests stayed awake late into the night, but it wasn't too bad. The fees were extremely reasonable, as we paid just a little over $20 for the night. The best thing about the park is the kind and attentive staff. There were a ton of mosquitoes, so we were definitely glad that we had brought multiple citronella candles as well as insect repellent. Also, the picnic table in our campsite was a little grungy, so we were also glad we had brought a tablecloth. In the middle of the night we were all awoken by the sound of an owl hooting from a tree limb that was directly above our tent. The kids really enjoyed that.
