How to Book Train Travel From Paris to Marseilles

Marseille is a very temperate city in the South of France located in Lyon in the French Riviera. A popular train stop on the way to Niece and Italy, Marseille offers travelers the chance to see the Mediterranean life in an ancient French City.

Book a ticket on a TTV train to Marseille for a three hour ride from Paris' Gare de Lyon station. Know that standard rail cars are also available from Paris to Marseille, but they are much slower than the more modern trains. These can be a nice change of pace, however from speedy trains that don't give you time to appreciate the scenery of the French countryside, which is amazing.

Be sure to validate your ticket before you board, and on your way back to Paris. Take food and drink with you. Many trains, even overnight ones, don't have advocate food cars on them. Know that if you're late the train will leave. Get to your platform early to ensure a timely departure.
